Mani Rathnam’s historical fiction Ponniyin Selvan is gearing up for a part 2 release titled PS-2 on 28 Aril 2023. The fans of the director and the novel have been awaiting an update from the team. The makers released a making glimpse from Ponniyin Selvan 2 on Wednesday as a curtain-raiser to the film’s promotions this month.
The movie which stars Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trish and others had it’s audio and trailer release on Wednesday.
Earlier, the makers have confirmed that the Universal Hero Kamal will be gracing the event in Chennai. As per the latest information, another star Tamil actor had also joined the event. It is non other than Pathu Thala actor Silambarasan aka STR.
The released telugu trailer test the patience of audience and it would be difficult to watch the much awaited trailer with no highs and elevations. The trailer is just going on in a slow pace like a tortoise race. It seems that Ponniyin Selvan is made only for the purpose of Tamil Industry but releasing in other industries to make more profits.
Jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, AR Rahman has composed the music while Ravi Varman has handled the cinematography with the National award-winning art director Thota Tharani recreating the Chola era with his art work for the two-part franchise.
