Censor board only selectively applicable now?

The censor board is a regulatory board for films, where any objectional scenes or dialogues are either removed or silenced, so as to not have a negative impact on impressionable viewers. At the same time, the certificate given to a film by the censor board reflects the kind of content in the film, and who can watch the film, for the same reasons.

However, in recent times, it looks as though these censor rules are applicable to only selected films, and not for all. The most recent and best example of this is the film Takkar, featuring Siddharth in the lead role.

A lot of profane words are very clearly heard in the film, and multiple times too. Despite that, the film has been given a clean U/A certificate. This makes one wonder why there’s so much selectiveness, and how is it so.
