Dhanush continues his rampage on Netflix

Dhanush starrer periodic social drama Sir/Vaathi written and directed by Venky Atluri, has been making the headlines since its release. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual film hit the theatres on February 17.

It received good reviews from the audience and critics and even entered the Rs 100-crore club and emerged as a career best grosser for Dhanush.

OTT giant Netflix has bought the rights to Telugu,  Hindi and Tamil versions of the movie and has been streaming from March 17. Buzz is that Netflix has bought the OTT rights of the film for around Rs 20 crores.

As per the latest information, Sir/Vaathi has created a sensation by occupying the first three places in the most watched Indian movies list.

With the Pan Indian star image and no other high budget movies in Theatre/OTT release last week, Sir/ Vaathi  could achieve this benchmark so easily in all the three languages within two days of OTT release.

It seems that the film continues it’s rampage till this Friday as there are noted films lined up for release in different OTT platforms.

This social drama also stars Samyuktha Menon as the female lead while  Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani in pivotal roles. Backed by S. Naga Vamshi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, this flick has music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography handled by J.Yuvraj.
