Bollywood director Vivek Agnihotri is known to make films on controversial concepts, and is known for making even more controversial statements in personal life as well. He very famously made several statements about Rebel Star Prabhas in the past, in a very indirect and sometimes direct way. He released his famous Kashmir Files film on the same day that Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam was released in 2022.
Now, Vivek has announced that his film The Vaccine War would be released on September 28th, the same day that Prabhas’s Salaar is scheduled to release. Given that Kashmir Files was a massive success and Radhe Shyam turned out to be a disaster, the director seems to be thinking that he could win over Prabhas this time as well.
However, the fact is that the buzz surrounding Radhe Shyam was very different from the buzz surrounding Salaar, because the latter sees Prabhas returning to the mass action genre, the genre that made him famous, and the genre that the audiences love watching him in. Moreover, the film id directed by Prashant Neel, who is fresh off from the success of the KGF franchise. Considering that, it is rather perplexing as to what kind of beef the director seems to have with Prabhas, and why that is the case.
