Hero Captain Vijay Kanth passed away

Popular Tamil actor and politician Vijay Kanth (71) passed away. Vijay Kanth was born on 25 August 1952 in Madurai. Wherever Vijay Kanth steps into is a success. As per the name, he has made his mark in films and also in politics .Vijayakanth’s real name is Narayanan ‘Vijayaraj’ Alagaswamy. After entering the movies, he changed his name to Vijayakanth and became a star hero. Vijay Kanth is not only a successful star hero but also a producer and director. He entered films in 1979 with ‘Inikkum Ilamai’. He acted as a villain in the first film. After that, he achieved his first success with ‘Sattam Oru Iruttarai’ directed by Chandrasekhar. Vijay Kanth started calling him “Captain” from his 100th film. Once upon a time , he released 18 films in a single year and wrote a new history in the industry on his name. No one in Tamil Nadu has been able to break this record so far.


In the 80s, Vijayakanth became popular in the South with his action star image. Most of his movies have been dubbed into Telugu and Hindi. Vijayakanth has the title of ‘Puratchi Kalaingar’ in the film industry. It means revolutionary artist. He is often seen as patriotic and dual role acting in his films. He acted as a police officer in more than 20 films. Vijay Kanth’s last movie was Madhura Veeran (2018).
After acting in more than 150 films, he entered politics after 2005.
Vijay Kanth, who founded the DMDK party on September 14, 2005, was elected as an MLA for the first time in 2005. He was the Leader of Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Vijay Kanth married Premalatha. Vijay Kanth has two sons namely Vijay Prabhakaran and Shanmuga Pandian. Celebrities condoled Vijay Kanth’s death. Shows in theaters in Tamil Nadu have been canceled today.
