Arrest warrant for actor Prithviraj

The thing is… Prithviraj, who is known as ’30 years industry’ in Tollywood… is facing an arrest warrant in the case of his wife Srilakshmi Manovarthy. The Vijayawada Local Family Court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant to Prithviraj.

Prithviraj married Srilakshmi in 1984. They have a son and a daughter. But Prithvi and his wife had a dispute and they are living separately. Srilakshmi approached the court in 2017 staying at her parents house with her children. Since her husband earns Rs.30 lakhs per month by doing movies and TV serials, she asked him to give her maintenance of Rs.8 lakhs per month. At that time, the family court ordered Prithviraj to pay Rs.8 lakhs per month to his wife.

However.. Prithvi who did not follow those orders challenged it in the High Court. The court examined the case and ordered to pay Rs.22 thousand per month to the wife while providing temporary relief. It has been clarified that the dues till then should be paid in full. But Prithviraj did not heed the orders of the High Court. With this, Srilakshmi’s wife again filed a petition in the family court. The lawyers explained in the petition that Prithviraj was not present in the court.A family court judge considered the petition on Wednesday. A non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued for Prithviraj.
