Based on Maharaj’s libel case of 1862, the movie ‘Maharaj’ is based on real events. The film revolves around the story of a priest who faces sexual allegations. Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey and Sharvari played other important roles in this movie. Siddharth P Malhotra directed this movie under the production of Yash Raj Films.
However.. According to the publicity pictures released so far, the film has scenes that insult Hinduism.. Vishwa Hindu Parishad has written a letter to the production company Yash Raj Films asking them to show the film before its release.
