Ponniyin Selvan 2 is all set to release for world-wide release on April 28th and the entire team of PS-2 had attended the Telugu pre-release event happened in Hyderabad. The ace director Mani Ratnam made some interesting comments during the pre-release event.
Mani Ratnam thanked SS Rajamouli for making Baahubali and added that If Baahubali was not made in two parts, Ponniyin Selvan wouldn’t have been shaped up. He clearly mentioned that Baahubali created a path for him to make an Historical film in Indian Cinema.
Rajamouli was the one who opened a huge passage for lot of filmmakers to convert Indian history into films and this has recreated a history for Indian Film Industry. He also stated that the love of Telugu audience towards cinema has always been the same.
Karthi, who also attended the event said that they had shot PS-1 and PS-2 at a time but PS-1 served as an entertainment and PS-2 will be a classic. The entire star-cast Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi and others. PS-2 has music by AR Rahman and the big budget venture is backed by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies.
