Balagam starring Priyadarshi Pulikonda and kavya Kalyan Ram in the lead roles was released on March 3rd in theatres. The movie received positive response from the audience and accolades were poured in from critics all over.
Venu Yeldandi who was a former comedian made his directorial debut with Balagam. Many people were not convinced that he could justify the role of a director, but the super success of the film demonstrated his abilities.
Made on a budget of 2 crores the film collected 20 crores in 20 days in it’s theatrical release and now the small film is available online in Amazon Prime. Apart from accolades, the low budget film was recognized on the International stage now.
Balagam won Best Feature film and Best Cinematography awards at the Los Angeles Cinematography Awards for March 2023. The certificates were presented to director Venu Yeldandi and the same was shared on his official twitter handle.
The Tollywood celebrities and stalwarts who watched the movie predicted that Balagam would definitely win awards and now the entire team proved the statements right and cherishing the joyful moments now. The movie was made by Dil Raju Productions is run by Harshith Reddy and Hanshitha Reddy. Bheems Ceciroleo composed the music for the low budget movie.
