Prabhas will be seen as Lord Rama in the upcoming Adipurush, which will mark the major first big-screen adaptation of this timeless epic. At the same time, there is another Ramayana in development, to be directed by Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are being considered for the roles of Rama and Sita respectively, with KGF franchise’s Yash in talks for the role of Ravana, as per reports. This prestigious project is to be produced by Allu Aravind, Madhu Mantena, and Namit Malhotra.
With already one Ramayana in existence, one has to wonder about the need for another Ramayana. Yes, there are many versions of the written format, all of which are the same, with the exception of very few differences. Having said that, only producers should know why so many Ramayanas need to exist.
