Biography of Superstar Anchor Suma

Suma’s name is heard first as the top anchor in the Telugu television sector. Suma acts as an anchor for popular programs in many channels with her juggling of words. And.. if there is a festival of movies, that noise is different. Like.. not only the comments on the big screen and the silver screen.. every now and then the buzz is raised in the advertisements.


Suma, who hails from Kerala, is fluent in Telugu, though her mother tongue is Malayalam. Not only she speak Telugu very well, it is not uncommon for her to reach a high position in this field while anchoring. That too as a superstar in the field of commentary. That is why Suma can be called a superstar anchor.

Suma was born on March 22, 1975. Father PN Kutty, mother P. Vimala. They stayed in Secunderabad for many years. Being in Hyderabad, Suma naturally mastered the Telugu language. Suma says that her mother played a major role in her choosing Telugu as a subject in languages.
While Suma’s father was working in Hyderabad, she met Rajeev Kanakala while doing Meghamala directed by Devdas Kanakala. That acquaintance turned into love. They got married on February 10, 1999. They have a son and a daughter. It is known that Suma’s son Roshan made his debut as a hero with the movie Bubble Gum.

Suma seems to have no hesitation in this field as a commentator with good commentary, smile and punctuality. Besides Telugu and Malayalam, she can also speak Hindi and English.

On television, programs like Panchaavatharam, Star Mahila, Bhale Chancule brought recognition to Suma as the first commentator. And programs like Cash, Star Mahila, Super Singer, Avaakkayyaara?, Jeans, Patukonte Pattuchira, Lakku Kickku have put Suma on another level as an anchor.

Apart from the silver screen, on the other hand, she entertained in prominent roles in films like Kalyana Praptirastu, Pavithra Prema, Varsham, Dhee, Swayamvaram, Raavoyi Chandamama, Swaraabhishekam, Jayamma Panchayathi. Suma’s journey as a narrator and actress continues unabated.
