The glimpse of director Nag Ashwin’s dream project with Prabhas, titled Project K until now, was revealed yesterday, which was when it was also revealed that the movie is titled Kalki 2898 AD. The first glimpse showed a lot of promise and has increased the expectations on the film tremendously.
The glimpse clearly shows that the makers didn’t step back when it came to spending on the film and the vision of the director. There are a ton of references that can be seen in the film, from the Bhagavadgita and so many other Puranas. At the same time, a lot of people are comparing the film to many Hollywood films like Star Wars, Dune, etc.
All in all, Kalki is a futuristic project that seems to have a lot of story to tell and has a lot of elements from Hindu scriptures. The film has a Hollywood look and feel to it, and it is too early to say what and how the film will turn out to be, but one thing is for sure, whatever the references for the film may have been, it surely is going to be unique.
