Opinion: Overrated after just one film

A lot of actresses keep making a lot of noise in the industry and then become irrelevant after just a short span if they are unable to deliver proper success. There have been many recent examples of this. It is often that actresses are offered multiple films delivering just a single success, during which time they even hike their fees at an astronomical rate.

Now, the same thing is seemingly happening with Mrunal Thakur, who was only seen in a single Telugu film so far, Sita Ramam. While her acting was highly acclaimed in the film, it is probably too soon for filmmakers to start roping her into huge films already, especially at a time when she has hiked her fee by a lot.

She is currently busy with Nani’s Hi Nanna, and has been roped in as the leading lady in Parasuram and Vijay Deverakonda’s film, as per the latest information, she is about to make her Tamil debut with Shivakarthikeyan’s film with director AR Murugadoss.
