Director Gunaskehar is known for erecting massive sets and making costly films. Despite that, he delivered some really great films in the past, which have turned out to be classics. However, it also needs to be acknowledged that the director seems to have lost his magic, considering his recent filmography.
With the exception of Rudramadevi, which turned out to be a no profit no loss venture for Gunasekhar, every other film that he made in recent years, has turned out to be a major flop, with the most recent Shaakuntalam being the costliest flop of them all. As such, it is very natural for any actor to think twice before they pair up with him once again.
Rana Daggubati was set to collaborate with the director for Hiranyakashyapa, but the film is now set to be helmed by Trivikram. Gunasekhar recently wrote a tweet about the same, indirectly hitting out at the actor and director. It is now to be seen how they will respond to Gunasekhar.
