‘Maidan’ is a long pending project starring Bollywood senior hero Ajay Devagan. The biographical sports drama produced by Boney Kapoor has finally finalized its release date. ‘Maidan’ is coming to the audience as a gift this Eid. Besides Hindi, ‘Maidan’ is slated for release in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages.
‘Maidan’ opens with the story of the Indian football team between 1952-62. The film is based on the life story of Syed Abdul Rahim, the coach of the Indian football team who reached the semi-finals in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. Ajay Devgan is going to be seen in the role of Syed Abdul Rahim in this movie. Priyamani will be seen in another lead role. Amit Rabindranath Sharma is directing this movie.
