‘Devara’ looted Rs. 400 crores before its release?

The film ‘Devara’ is going to show the world once again the box office power of man of masses NTR. Tarak, who has looted the records of new collections worldwide with multi-starrers like ‘R.R.R’, this time he is getting ready to hit a super success solo with ‘Devara’.


Directed by Koratala Siva, ‘Devara’ is being made in two parts and the first part is coming as a Dussehra gift. As the shooting is almost completed, the post production works are being completed simultaneously. Now, as the release date is approaching, crazy offers are coming for the pre-release business of ‘Devara’. It is already being reported that the theatrical and non-theatrical rights of this film have done a business of around Rs.400 crores.


As far as the non-theatrical rights are concerned, the audio rights of this movie have been acquired by T-Series for Rs.33 crores. It is reported that Netflix has acquired the digital rights for Rs. 155 crores for all languages. Also.. if satellite is also included, ‘Devara’ is going to get around Rs. 250 crores in non-theatrical form.


For the distribution of the film ‘Devara’ in Telugu states, there is a stiff competition between companies like Mythri Movie Makers on one hand and Dil Raju and Sithara Entertainments on the other. These companies are competing to give around Rs.130 crores for Telugu rights alone. However.. there is a talk in industry circles that ‘Devara’ team is favoring Sithara Entertainments. Hamsini Entertainment has already acquired the overseas rights of this film for Rs.27 crores.Also.. It is estimated that Rest of India is getting Rs. 50 to Rs. 60 crores together. Dharma Productions will release this film in North. Overall.. ‘Devara’ is going to remain a very safe project before its release.
