Indian first, Ram Charan Next

Universal star Kamal Haasan and director Shankar joined hands once again for ‘Indian 2’, the sequel to their previous union ‘Indian’, which was released in 1996. But the film has been in production for a long time, and the team is heading across places for the film shoot.

While speaking at a recent media event, director Shankar opened up the shooting plans of ‘Indian 2’ and revealed that the talkie portions of the film will be completed by June. A song will be shot followed by it, and the VFX and post-production will begin post-June. The makers are aiming to release the film for a festival occasion, but the release date is yet to be fixed.

As per the latest information, director Shankar is in plans to release Indian 2 before his another big budget venture ‘Game Changer’ starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani as the main leads.

It is heard that the director will take a long break from Game Changer to concentrate on Indian-2. This project is initially aimed for Sankranti 2024 release but later the makers have planned to release it for Summer 2024. Shankar is in plans to release Indian 2 first followed by Ram Charan’s Game Changer.

Indian-2 stars an ensemble cast of Kajal Aggarwal, Gulshan Grover, Nedumudi Venu, Siddharth , Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Jayaprakash and Vennela Kishore.

Produced by Subaskaran and Udhayanidhi Stalin under the banners Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies respectively, the music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography done by Ravi Varman and Rathnavelu and editing performed by A. Sreekar Prasad.
