Miss Shetty Mister Polishetty marks the return of Anushka Shetty to the theatres after five years, with her last theatrical release being Bhaagamatie, which was released in 2018. MSMP features Naveen Polishetty alongside Anushka, in the lead role.
He will be seen as a stand-up comedian who falls in love with a woman elder than him, played by Anushka. The movie is directed by P Mahesh and is produced under the UV Creations banner.
According to reports, UV Creations is already in a safe zone with the film, already having made back their budget with the non-theatrical rights of the film. The theatrical rights of the film are yet to be finalized, so this is expected to be just a bonus for them.
On the other hand, the film is set to be released on September 7th and has an alright buzz around it. The promotions of the film are currently going on, with Naveen taking charge. The absence of Anushka is being felt strongly throughout the promotions, but she is said to be unavailable for promotions.
