Thaman is someone who has no competition when it comes to scoring the perfect background music these days. The music director soared to the peak of his game with Balakrishna’s Akhanda, which was released towards the end of 2021. Since then, the music director managed to give a fantastic background score and music for almost every film that he has worked in.
As such, there were good expectations on the music album of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which was released last year. But the bgm and album were just sub-par, or so fans felt. The bgm in Mahesh’s film Guntu Karam, with Trivikram, was also not that great.
At the same time, the bgm for Balakrishna’s upcoming film, Bhagavanth Kesari, directed by Anil Ravipudi, was astounding, and fans loved it very much. WIth that being said, it looks like there’s a disconnect between Thaman’s music and Mahesh’s films. Here’s hoping Guntur Karam proves that wrong once the film is released.
