Nara Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by the CID police in Andhra Pradesh in connection with the skill development scam. It has been two weeks since his arrest. Even after so many days, the bail has not come yet. However, Telugu Desam Party cadres are holding dharnas and rallies across Andhra Pradesh saying that this is an illegal arrest and an act of achievement by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s faction.
Chandrababu’s sympathizers and TDP fans staged sit-ins in Telangana and Rallies were held. Surprisingly, even during the Telangana movement, IT employees who did not hold rallies or dharnas for Telangana now came to the road for Chandrababu. Telangana government has taken this matter seriously and given a serious warning for IT from corridor to corridor.
Strict orders were passed that the employees should not do dharnas and rallies under any circumstances. Actually Hyderabad is a paradise for IT and which company would want to be against with the government .So everything was stopped here after the government gave a warning. The IT employees here wanted to go to Rajahmundry and do dharna but Police stopped them at AP Borders.
However, some other IT employees along with Telugu Desam Party and some BRS leaders demanded that KCR and KTR should respond about Chandrababu’s arrest. KTR was asked some questions in a recent press meet on this. He replied to them in his own style.
“What does Telangana have to do with the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu? Why are dharnas and rallies in Telangana? If they do it today, someone else will do it tomorrow. Then what we have to do when we are in power and this is our government. Why should we talk about an issue that has nothing to do with us. Do whatever you want you do it in AP about the dharnas held by the people here .
This is a fight between two political parties and not related to Telangana. Babu’s matter is in court and he will prove whether he is convict or innocent in the court.Jagan, Lokesh and Pawan all are my friends in Andhra. Lokesh called me and asked me to give permission for rallies in Hyderabad. But we said that peace and security in Hyderabad is important for us. Our policy is that there should not be any problems in the IT sector and will move forward accordingly. Some of them from our party responded personally and that is not our party’s stand. We have decided to remain neutral.. This is our final decision as the President of the Party Working Committee..” said KTR. It remains to be seen whether the IT people will stay away from such aggressive matters or defy the Telangana government’s decision.
