A clever strategy behind Adipurush’s lack of promotions

It has become a norm to extensively promote a movie prior to its release these days, as audiences need to be interested in watching something, and this interest can be caused only when the name of a movie is heard a lot, or, that’s how things seem to work.

However, this is not always true, especially for movies that have a huge star cast and a lot more that supports it. The best example of this is Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which was released earlier this year, which was not promoted at all and still managed to bring in huge numbers, owing to its star cast.

Now, a similar strategy is at work for Prbahas’s Adipurush, which is set to be released on June 16th. The movie is based on Ramayana, the story of which is known to every Indian. As such, the movie makers are in plan to attract the audiences to the theatres with Prabhas’s star power, and the magic of Ramayana. If the advance booking numbers are anything to go by, then this strategy is brilliantly working.
