Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s recent outing, ‘Amigos’, helmed by Rajender Reddy received mixed reviews and bombed at the box office. With the debacle of his last film, Kalyan Ram became very particular in selecting periodic dramas to check his luck.
His recent periodic drama Bimbisara turned out to be a box office hit. The dubbed versions of the project has also good popularity. The film even stood as one of the most watched movies on OTT.
It is well known that Kalyan Ram has joined hands with Naveen Medaram for a periodic drama titled, ‘Devil- The British Spy Agent’. Sources say that, the actor has signed another periodic drama with Virinchi Varma who garnered accolades for his directorial debut, Uyyala Jampala, which released in 2013.
Virinchi then came up Nani starrer Majnu in 2016, which stood as an average grosser at the box office. As per the latest information, the director is giving a comeback after 7 years with a periodic drama set in the 70s era. This project is likely to be announced and start once the actor finishes the shooting of Devil.
The cast and crew of this project are yet to be revealed. The official confirmation regarding this periodic drama is awaited.
