Vishal’s Mark Antony creates good Expectations

Actor Vishal is going through a rough patch with his films receiving lukewarm responses from the audience. He pinned much hope on Latti, but even that movie failed to meet the expectations. However, Vishal seems pretty confident about Mark Antony, directed by Adhik Ravichandran of Trisha Illana Nayanthara fame. The teaser of the film is set to be released today, and Vishal met Vijay ahead of the event and played the teaser for the Tamil star.

Mark Antony is a sci-fi film that is set in the 80s and the current time, with characters time-travelling through phones. Not just the storyline, but even the aesthetics and the sequences of the film seem to be a whole lot quirky even by Adhik’s standard. It is unclear who is the hero or the villain from watching the teaser as everyone seems to be killing someone or the other. However, the teaser definitely promises a fun-filled action thriller.

The teaser indicates that a lot of money seems to have been spent on Mark Antony despite the director’s Anbanaavan Asaradhavan Adangathavan, starring Simbu, failing at the box office. It only means that S Vinod Kumar of Mini Studio, the producer of the film, must have a huge trust in the director and the script.

Other than Vishal and SJ Suryah, Mark Antony also stars Selvaraghavan, Suneel, Abhinaya, and Ritu Varma in pivotal roles. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the songs for the film. The makers are yet to announce a release date for the movie.
