Director Gunashekar, after a gap of seven years is coming up with his ambitious project ‘Shaakuntalam’ and even the lead actress Samantha is aiming for a massive release in all major areas.
Initially, Shaakuntalam is announced for release on 17th February to clash with Dhanush straight telugu film SIR, made with the concept of current education system.
Now Samantha receives a big shock with SRK’s Pathaan and Karthik Aaryan’s Shehzada-a remake of ‘Ala Vaikuntapuram lo’. Pathaan is creating records in the north region and now Shehzada is releasing on February 17th in North area.
With this, most of the theatre’s are occupied for Pathaan and Shehzada and Shaakuntalam might not be a big release for Sam in Hindi belt, which affects her Pan india image badly.
Now are makers are confused whether to go ahead with the release or postpone the film. We have to wait for an official confirmation.
