Mani Ratnam has previously collaborated with Kamal Haasan only once for the film ‘Nayakan’, which was a classic action drama released in 1987. For the upcoming film, KH#234, the music will be composed by AR Rahman, with production support from Madras Talkies, Red Giant Movies, and Udhayanidhi Stalin.
As per the latest information, Nayanthara may be considered for the lead female role in Kamal Haasan’s next film with director Mani Ratnam, which is tentatively titled ‘KH234’, according to reports. However, there has been no official confirmation so far. If the rumors are true, this would be the first time that Nayanthara and Kamal Haasan will be sharing screen space together, as they have not worked together in the past.
It was previously reported that Trisha Krishnan was cast as the female lead in KH#234, while there are now rumors that Nayanthara is being considered for the role. It is unclear who will ultimately be selected, or if both actresses will be involved in the film. The production team is expected to make an announcement about the cast in the coming months.
Kamal Haasan is currently occupied with the filming of ‘Indian 2’, directed by Shankar. Meanwhile, Mani Ratnam is awaiting the release of the highly anticipated sequel ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’, which is scheduled to release on April 28.
