IT raids completed on Mythri Movie Makers

The Income Tax Department raids on Mythri Movie Makers, a Telugu film production company and director Sukumar, came to an end on Monday after 5 days of searching. The production company produced blockbusters such as Pushpa, Rangasthalam,Janatha Garage, Srimanthudu among others. ‘Pushpa the rule’ will be released soon.

The IT officials have collected details of Pushpa 1 film budget, collections, details of the budget spent on the production of Pushpa 2, remunerations of actors and technicians, income tax payments, GST payments etc. Over 5 days, the Income Tax department has inquired about the company’s alleged links to financiers from Mumbai and the agreement signed with Hindi film director Siddharth Anand to direct a movie with Prabhas.

They also allegedly found that the company attracted an investment of Rs 500 from a foreign country, violating norms. The GST department and Income Tax officials had raided their residences and office premises in December last year for allegedly providing false details in their ITRs.

Sources close to the production house said, We are clear as the company has a clean record of IT, TDS, GST, and everything in time. There are no big issues found in this raid”. Let’s wait for the announcement of the IT department regarding the findings of the raid.
