Das Ka Dhamki Review – A commercial Entertainer

Talented actor Vishwak Sen has come up with the film ‘Das Ka Dhamki’ to entertain the audience for this Ugadi. The movie starring himself and Nivetha Pethuraj in the lead roles also stars Rao Ramesh, Hyper Adhi, Mahesh and others.

Vishwak’s second directorial  Das Ka Dhamki  is released for Ugadi festival with a lot of buzz and amid competition with Ranga Marthanda. The movie is expected to fare well in both Telugu states and overseas. So, let’s have a look at the film, if the actor’s directorial engaged the audience in it’s full run.

Story:

Krishna Das who is a waiter at the restaurant looks identical to Dr.Sanjay Rudra, the CEO of Pharma company. Sanjay announces a anti-cancer drug and when the drug is about to get launched Dr Sanjay is killed in an accident and the waiter Das lands in his place after Rao Ramesh bringing him in place of Sanjay. Meanwhile Das tries to get closer to Keerthi(Nivetha) and how Das encounters the new problems, will he be able to the cause of Sanjay’s death forms the rest of the story.

Performance’s: Vsihwak Sen already established himself as a notable actor with his different genre films and Dhamki is a film which could prove him as a commercial hero who could easily draw comedy, emotion and intense with his role.

Nivetha pethuraj looked glamorous in her role and her on-screen chemistry with the lead actor is tempting. The comedy angle is smoothly maintained in the romantic portions and Rao Ramesh, Hyper Adhi apart from comedy has nothing to do with their roles.

The first half does not have an engaging story, but the tighter screenplay and the comedy tracks worked well for the first part. The second half does not have a gripping narration and the story is almost predictable and the forced twists makes us to lose interest in the film.

Plus Points:

Vishwak’s Acting Skills

Songs, Bgm

Comedy tracks in first half

Minus Points:

Poor Narration in Second Half

Forced Twists

Editing part

Predictable story

Average Screenplay in second half.

Verdict:

Das Ka Dhamki is an entertaining film from the beginning which engages with the comedy tracks in the film and concludes with a routine predictable storyline. The minor changes in second part, screenplay and a fresh revenge plot might have helped the story to great extent.
