Despite of knowing that the remake’s are bringing disastrous results in Bollywood, the makers are fetching the remake rights for a record price and making films unnecessarily.
The latest one to join the list is Shehzada remake of ‘ Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo’ starring the in-form Karthik Aaryan in the lead role.
The biggies in Bollywood felt that Karthik would save Bollywood by continuing the success streak of SRK’s Pathaan, as he unexpectedly bagged a blockbuster in the form of Bhool Bhulaiyya-2.
While , Akshay Kumar is coming up with Selfiee which is an official remake of MalayalamBlockbuster film Driving License. The buzz around the film is completely zero despite huge promotions.
On the other hand, Ajay Devgn is coming up with the Tamil blockbuster Karthi starrer ‘Kaithi’ titled as Bhoola.
And another remake was announced yesterday, which is Pradeep Ranganathan’s smashing hit ‘Love Today’.
Even after tasting bitter results, the makers are not realizing that the remakes are not a safe bet anymore, as the audiences are exposed to cinema from all over the world in the form of OTT platforms.
