LEO: Vaarasudu situation to repeat for Tollywood again?

Sankranthi is always a busy season for Tollywood, with several big and small films always eyeing the season for release. This year’s Sankranthi season was particularly busy with the release of two biggies, in the form of Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya. The two films even turned out to be massive successes at the box office.

At the same time, there was another release, Vaarasudu, the dubbed version of the Tamil film Varisu, directed by Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju.

A good number of theatres were allotted for the movie, on the day of its release, making the situation tough. It is now being said that a similar situation might take place in October, with a big Tollywood producer reportedly keen on releasing Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo in Telugu at the time when Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi’s film, Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao and even Ram Pothineni and Boyapati Srinu’s films are gearing up for release.
