The Telugu film industry has lacked any really interesting weekends in recent times, with Baby being the last film that really created a huge wave. Post that, there have been releases like BRO and Bholaa Shankar, but both the movies turned out to be disappointments, especially the latter. While Rajnikanth’s Jailer turned out to be good enough, it is nevertheless a dubbing film.
As such, Tollywood is now set for interesting weekends ahead, with Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha’s Kushi set to be released on September 1st, and Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty’s Miss Shetty Mister Polishetty set to be released on September 7th. Both these films have prominent actors featured in them, and actors that have a very good base.
Having said that, it is going to be interesting to see which movie will perform better at the box office, and if both the films will perform on par with each other. Kushi is directed by Shiva Nirvana while Miss Shetty Mister Polishetty is directed by P Mahesh.
