Maniratnam’s PS-2 might get delayed

Ace Director Mani Rathanam’s dream project Ponniyin Selvan-1 released last year, became one of the highest-grossing films in Tamil cinema history.

Now, Ratnam is preparing to amaze audiences once again with the sequel to his magnum opus. As per the latest information, the theatrical release of Ponniyan Selvan-2 might get delayed due to the technical reasons.

The initial release of this magnum opus is scheduled on 28 April. Buzz is that the project will be postponed and will have a mid-summer release. However, there is no official announcement from the makers of this project.

Ponniyan Selvan features Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Rai, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Shobitha Dhulipala, Parthiban, Sarath Kumar etc., will continue in their respective roles from the first part.

The story revolves around the civil war inside the Chola dynasty for the throne, and the conspiracy by Pandyas to avenge the Cholas, set around the 10th century.
