Curtain-Raiser Program of Balakrishna Golden Festival Celebrations

It is a great thing for a hero to complete a 50-year reign in Tollywood. Nandamuri Balakrishna, who made his debut with the film ‘Thathamma Kala’, is completing 50 years as an actor. On this auspicious occasion, the Telugu film industry is making massive preparations to celebrate his golden jubilee. A curtain raiser program was held at FNCC on Wednesday to reveal the details of the ceremony to be held on September 1.Nandamuri Ramakrishna and Nandamuri Mohanakrishna launched the golden jubilee celebration poster in this event.

Nandamuri Mohanakrishna said in this program.. ‘It is really a great thing that my younger brother Balakrishna has completed 50 years as an actor. He has proved himself as an actor who can do any role. Balakrishna stood in the industry as the successor of his father
. Balakrishna is the successor of his father not only in acting but also in politics. He won the last election and achieved a hat trick. He said that it has been proved that Hindupuram is the land of Nandamuri Adda.’

Producer Thammareddy Bharadwaja said.. ‘Even after completing 50 years as an actor, Balakrishna continues to compete with young heroes. After Amitabh Bachchan, there is no other actor in Indian cinema who has done as many years as Balakrishna. Even now Balayya walks like a common man since he went to school. When we both went to Goa once, he bought a tray of water bottles and carried them and he is very simple.Balayya is a producer’s man. My favorite actor. We are very happy for him on completing 50 years. He said that everyone should come and succeed in this program which is being done by the entire industry.

Senior director Kodandaramireddy said.. ‘I have done more films with Balayya. Having done 13 films with him, you can understand how good he is. In the path of his brother, Balayya also gives a lot of respect to the directors. Being a hero for 50 years is a great thing. I feel lucky to be in this state. All say Jai Balayya wherever he goes . Balakrishna is the actor who caught the youth nerve. He said that as the successor of Rama Rao, he got a good name in movies and politics.’

Bharat Bhushan, President of the Film Chamber, said, ‘We are asking for your cooperation to make this program a success on September 1.’

Director YVS Chowdhary said.. ‘In May 1974, I saw the movie Tatamma Kal at Gudivada. From there, 50 years flashed before our eyes and we have come this far, it seems like a dream. Then I was the son of a lorry driver and Fan of Rama Rao. After that, I feel fortunate to come to the industry and speak in front of you like this. Nandamuri Balakrishna has parents as well as his teacher with him at home . That is his luck.He is a good successor to his father in politics as well as movies. He said that he want his 50th birthday to be an inspiring one for all.’

Writer Paruchuri Gopalakrishna said.. ‘I am a fan of Rama Rao. We were fortunate enough to write a film for Rama Rao garu, whom I adored. In 1981, I wrote for the movie Chandasasanudu. At that time a handsome boy came. He is Balakrishna. Each hero has a different body language. Balayya has a different body language. The thigh-slapping dialogue suits Balayya. Every movie we wrote was successful for Balayya. I am shocked that he has completed 50 years.I thought he was 50 years old. He also said that he want the world to know about Balayya’s 50-year celebration by including all the associations’.

Director Boyapati Srinivas said..’We get tired just by walking for 50 minutes. He has been making films like this for 50 years. It is a very commendable thing that all the film giants came on a platform to recognize his hard work and honor him. I would like to thank everyone who is doing this program by name. Completing 50 years and 109 films in the industry without playing a role is not a common thing.I want him to always be energetic and make good movies. Similarly, on the occasion of the completion of 50 years of actor Balakrishna’s life on September 1, he said, “I want everyone to come and make the program a big success.”
