Calculations between distributor and exhibitor in Nizam..!

Cinema theaters are facing many difficulties in Telugu states. Week by week the audience coming to proper movies or theaters is decreasing. On the other hand.. OTTs are scaring theaters a lot. In this year, some of the theaters are closing due to difficulty in management. Meanwhile, the campaign that single screens are being closed for ten days has been going on all over Telangana. However, the Telugu Film Producers Council denied this.

The latest Telangana Exhibitors Association meeting was held. They made some decisions on how movies should be shown on sharing. It has been decided on what basis the distributor and exhibitor should share the collections of the first week and the second week based on the rate at which the movie was bought in Nizam.

It has been decided that 75% for the distributor and 25% for the exhibitor in the first week of the films bought in Nizam at a rate of more than 1 crore. And… in the second week, it will be 55 percent – 45 percent.. After that, the distribution will be between distributor-exhibitor in the calculation of 40-60 and 30-70 percent respectively.

10 crores to 30 crores for the movies bought in Nizam, 60 percent will be distributed to the distributor and 40 percent to the exhibitor in the first week. First week 50-50, third week 40-60, fourth week 30-70 percent will be shared.

For films below 10 crores, 50 percent will be distributed to distributors and exhibitors in the first week. Second week 40-60, third week 30-70 share of income. However.. this new agreement will not apply to the movies like ‘Kalki, Pushpa 2, Game Changer, Indian 2’, which were completed before this meeting.
