Pepsi has pulled its latest ad ‘Live For Now Moments Anthem’ that stars Kendall Jenner. The company posted a message about the same on its twitter handle that said, “Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace, and understanding. Clearly, we missed the mark, and we apologize. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are removing the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendal Jenner in this position.”
In the ad, the star is seen crossing a scene of the protest, later she joins the crowd and approaches police officers. In the real world, this would be tense situation but it refuses to cheers. This was criticized as it appeared to trivialize demonstration meant for talking social justice cause.
