Recently there was a lot of buzz on social media about how a passenger was over charged with whooping Rs 149 crore for 300 m ride. The passenger was identified as Sushil Narsian, a Mumbai resident. He tweeted that he was charged Rs 149 crore for a 300 m ride by Ola cab.
Since the incident happened on April 1, many believed it to be a April fool joke but it was not the same. The Ola company also replied back “Please message the booking ID and we will look into it.”
It is said that the over- billing had happened due to technical glitch and the problem was fixed in two hours. Later the company had deducted Rs127 from the electronic wallet.
