A major accident was averted as Air India and an IndiGo aircraft came face to face at Delhi International Airport. The Air India Delhi- Goa AI156 aborted take-off to avoid collision with an Indigo plane Ranchi-Delhi 6E398 that was landing on a converging runway.
The IndiGo flight as about to land at the runway no 28 but when it saw Air India plane at the converging point it took off again following the procedure. IndiGo’s Ranchi-Delhi flight 6E398 landed on the runway 27 minutes later.
It is said that there were almost 122 passengers on the Air India plane. Finally, it took off for Goa at 12.50pm, wherein it was about to take off at around 11.15 am.
