World’s well-renowned space agency has put Earth for adoption ahead of Earth Day. This initiative is a part of a campaign to raise awareness about climatic changes. The agency has split the planet into 64,000 pieces and is offering people free online. It is said that each piece is about 55 miles wide, but people can’t pick which slice they want adopt. For adopters who are unhappy with their random assignments can explore NASA’s world map and get the same data for any location. Adopters will get a certificate and can share the same on social media.
The NASA Worldview website is giving access to satellite images that are 30 years old, so that people can witness how Earth has changed over period of time. The project is meant for fun and education, no legality is involved in the same.
