NAO is a personalized and interactive robot. His humanoid shape and body movements give him life and make him a truly endearing companion. Udaipur-based engineering college is facilitating the French humanoid robot NAO to be programmed to understand commands in Hindi.
French developer Aldebaran Robotics has sold the programmable robot to Techno India NJR Institute for research and education purposes and is working on its language programming. According to reports, R S Vyas, Director of the Institute said “We purchased the robot for our students of computer science. The robot works on artificial intelligence and can work in 18 languages. We are updating its language programming and it will be able to follow instructions in Hindi and work accordingly.”
For the robot to be efficiently utilized in India, further customization will also be done as per Indian needs.
