Dhoni has his fans across the globe, everyone loves to capture the moment with the former cricket captain Dhoni and share on their social media pages. But the same went wrong when a fanboy from Common Services Center(CSC) posted a tweet through its handle that said, “Ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his family get their Aadhaar updated at VLE Mariya Farooqui’s CSE at Ranchi, Jharkhand”. The tweet had a photograph of the cricketer with CSC representative and his personal details that appeared on the Aadhar website. The tweet was later deleted.
Sakshi Dhoni was prompt to draw Minster Ravi Shankar’s attention to the fact that personal details are being divulged.
A series of tweets were exchanged:-
“Is there any privacy left? Information of Adhaar card, including application, is made public property,” Sakshi tweeted, tagging Ravi Shankar.
Union Law and Information and Technology Minister Ravi Shankar was prompt to reply back and said that
@SaakshiSRawat No, it is not a public property. Does this Tweet divulge any personal information?
To which immediately Sakshi Dhoni replied,
@rsprasad Sir personal information filled in form is leaked!
Lastly, Ravi Shankar had assured that strict action will be taken against this he tweeted,
@SaakshiSRawat Thanks for bringing this to my notice. Sharing personal information is illegal. Serious action will be taken against this.
Hope this serves as a lesson that one has be careful what to post and what not to post on social media.
