Something uncalled for happened when a crowd of reporters and camera operators had gathered outside Albury police station in regional NSW for a press conference. Detective Inspector Winston Woodward ha begun his speech, and then a drunk passerby crossed the street and yelled “bullsh*t towards the officer and media.”
This did not go down well with the officer. He excused himself from the press talk and instructed the man to put the bottle down. But later the drunk man refused to cooperate.
After that Inspector, Winston grabbed him by his collar, took him to the police station and said he was under arrest for swearing in public. He passerby was also fined $500.
A beer-drinking heckler got more than he bargained for when he targetted a police media conference this week – and a veteran officer was quick to act.
