Free internet packages and other offers have become popular amongst people these days. Especially after Jio, telecom companies have been striving to offer better internet speed at a low price to their customers. In this race, Bharti Airtel has acquired Tikona Digital’s 4G airwaves for whooping Rs 1,600 crore. It is an attempt to increase the 4G broadband spectrum capacity.
Airtel’s this acquisition has come up only after Vodafone-Idea Cellular merger made the headlines and took the corporate world by storm. Through this deal, Bharti Airtel will get access to Tikona’s 4G airwaves in five circles — Gujarat, UP (East), UP (West), Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan. According to a media report, this deal is in line with their strategy to buy out companies with 4G spectrum and this is fifth of them since 2015
