After a video of a passenger being dragged out of a flight went viral on social media, there has been a lot of outrage seen against the airline. United Airlines had dragged a passenger of an overbooked flight and in the recent statement, they apologised for the overbook situation but not for the incident.
The video clearly shows how a passenger is being dragged out of his seat by a policeman. The airline was overbooked and it had to accommodate four of its employees on the flight but after no one volunteered, the airline managers named four passengers and were offered $400 vouchers as compensation. Only three out of four left the aircraft.
In a statement by United Airlines, “After our team looked for volunteers, one customer refused to leave the aircraft voluntarily and law enforcement was asked to come to the gate.”
The passenger is believed to be a doctor who had to fly to Louisville to see his patients.
