AAP MLA from Okhla Amanatullah Khan on Monday resigned from the party’s political affair committee a day after accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas of “plotting a coup” in the party.
In a media report, Delhi’s deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said “Objections were raised over Amanatullah’s statement against Kumar Vishwas. He himself put down the papers and his resignation has been accepted by the party.”
In separate letters, the leaders said Khan made the comments to malign Vishwas’s image and create a wedge in the party.
Cracks starting appearing in party after party workers demanded that Kumar Vishwas be appointed as party convenor and Kejriwal should focus upon governing Delhi.
